Efficient Workflow created For Bantry General Hospital

The introduction of Ulrich's CT Motion Contrast Injector in Bantry General Hospital has increased workflow efficiencies.

Bantry General Hospital made the imperative decision to successfully implement the Ulrich Medical CT Motion Injection system as part of their new CT scanner installation in November last year.

Since then, CT Specialist Radiographer, Orla Hannick at Bantry General Hospital, expressed how the "ceiling mounted CT Motion Injector frees up floor space, and is extremely flexible and easy to use patient-side.

We changed from 100ml pre-filled syringes, which took time with each patient set-up. We now, set up the pump in the morning, and simply change the patient line between patients. The ease of changing lines between patients leads to a much more efficient workflow. We have reduced our contrast use, with some exams requiring as little as 40mls! This has lead to considerable cost savings. In addition, we use leftover contrast , the next day for oral prep.

The air detector safety feature and saline test injection coupled with the injector pressure display patient-side, allows Radiographers to inject with confidence, even at high flow-rates. Additionally, extravasation rates have greatly reduced.

The tutorials provided on the injection console are an extremely helpful feature.

We are very pleased with our Ulrich CT pump and would not hesitate to recommend it".
